Karragullen, Western Australia
Karragullen is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Armadale. Its postcode is 6111. Prior to 1949 it was a stopping place on the Upper Darling Range Railway. The suburb is an agricultural area and is predominantly known as orchard country. Many of the orchards were developed by Italian migrants in the 1930s and 1940s and these have subsequently been taken over by their 1st and 2nd generation Australian descendants.

ABW (TV station)
ABW is the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's television station in Perth, Western Australia. The station began broadcasting on 7 May 1960 from studios in East Perth and its transmitter at Bickley. The station is relayed throughout the state by a number of transmitters as well as on the Optus Aurora free-to-view satellite television platform. 2005 saw the station move from the Adelaide Terrace studios to a new digital broadcast centre in East Perth.

It was originally known as "Heidelburg", but during World War I, the Railway Department renamed it "Bickley" after a local pioneer Wallace Bickley. The Seven Network and Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Perth Television transmission towers are located here. Perth Observatory is also located here.

Carmel, Western Australia
Carmel is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the Shire of Kalamunda. Prior to 1949 it was a stopping place on the Upper Darling Range Railway. The railway siding was originally known as Green's Landing after Perth businessman Levi Green, who had moved into the area in 1844. In 1915, the name Carmel, meaning "park" or "garden of God" in Hebrew, was adopted. The transmission tower for Network 10 in Perth is located here.
Pickering Brook, Western Australia
Pickering Brook is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the Shire of Kalamunda. Prior to 1949 it was a stopping place on the Upper Darling Range Railway. It was named after nearby Pickering Brook. The brook is named after an early settler, Captain Edward Picking whose name was sometimes recorded as Pickering. The suburb of Pickering Brook was officially created on 12 January 1973. Part of it was formerly known as Carilla.
Ashendon, Western Australia
Ashendon is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Armadale. It was gazetted in 2006 and was formerly part of Karragullen. The main road through Ashendon is McNess Drive, by which the main public entrance to the Canning Dam weir and picnic area can be accessed.

Carmel Adventist College is a Seventh-day Adventist secondary school in Carmel, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It is a co-educational, day and boarding school for students from Years 7 to 12. Bickley Pumpback Dam
Bickley Pumpback Dam is located in Perth, Western Australia. Bickley is a suburb situated on the Darling Scarp. The dam and site is also used as a campsite for children. The water collected in the dam is pumped back into Victoria Dam where it is treated, then gravitated or pumped into the metropolitan trunk main system for distribution.
Canning Dam
The Canning Dam and reservoir provide a major fresh water resource for the city of Perth, Western Australia. The dam is situated on the Darling Scarp and is an impoundment of the Canning River. It is noted for its innovative structural and hydraulic design that was considered to be at the forefront of concrete gravity dam design at the time of construction. The Canning Dam was Perth's primary water supply up until the 1960s when other sources of fresh water were tapped.
Araluen Pumpback Dam
Araluen Pumpback Dam is a minor dam on the Canning River. Water stored in the dam can be pumped back into Canning Dam where the water is treated and distributed through the metropolitan trunk main distribution system.
Araluen Botanic Park
Araluen Botanical Park is located in a sheltered valley in the Darling Ranges approximately 30 kilometres south of Perth, Western Australia, in the suburb of Roleystone. The Botanical Park covers an area of about 59 hectares . There is a small entry fee to the park, and it is open every day of the year. There is a mixture of exotic plant varieties, however the park also contains many remnants of native bush.
Churchman Brook Dam
Churchman Brook Dam is an earthfill embankment dam approximately 30 kilometres south east of Perth, Western Australia in the City of Armadale. The reservoir is a water source for Perth. It has a capacity of 2,240,000 kilolitres for a catchment area of 16 square kilometres . Construction of the dam was completed in 1929; the resident engineer was Sir Russell John Dumas.
Canning Contour Channel
The Canning Contour Channel is a 16 kilometres series of made-made concrete channels and steel and cast iron pipelines in the Darling Scarp in Western Australia constructed between July 1935 and December 1936.

The Araluen-Wungong Important Bird Area is a 123 km tract of land in the Darling Ranges on the south-eastern fringe of the city of Perth, Western Australia. The name derives from the Araluen Botanic Park within the Important Bird Area (IBA) and the adjacent suburb of Wungong. It is an important site for black cockatoos.
