Maylands is a suburb located approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth centred on the Midland railway line and located on the northern bank of the Swan River. The suburb was developed during the 1890s and is currently an administrative locality within the City of Bayswater (having been mostly located within the City of Stirling until 1998), bordered by the suburbs of Mount Lawley, East Perth and Bayswater. Maylands railway station provides easy access to the City centre and beyond.

Albany Bell Castle
The Albany Bell Castle is a heritage-listed building at the corner of Guildford Rd and Thirlmere Road in the Perth suburb of Mount Lawley, Western Australia. It was built in 1914 for the catering company Albany Bell Ltd as a factory to manufacture cakes and confectionery for its eleven tearooms in Perth and three in Kalgoorlie and Boulder. The site chosen was 19 acres of land two miles (3 km) from Perth, with natural springs that could supply 100,000 gallons of fresh water per day.

Bunbury Bridge
Bunbury Bridge was a single-track, timber railway bridge in East Perth in Western Australia. The bridge crossed the Swan River near Claise Brook and was built for passenger and freight traffic to Bunbury on the South Western Railway, and was also part of the Armadale railway line. The Bunbury Bridge (then called the Swan Bridge) was built in 1892 by Atkins and Law.
Goongoongup Bridge
Goongoongup Bridge is a railway bridge in East Perth, Western Australia which forms part of the Armadale railway line. It opened in September 1995 as part of the electrification of Perth's suburban railway network. The name is derived from the Nyungar word for the Claisebrook area. Goongoongup Bridge replaced the timber Bunbury Bridge which was demolished in 1996. The double-track concrete bridge is 407 metres long and is supported by eight piers.
