Francis Ormond

It is well known for its popular annual strawberry festival, the Wallington Strawberry Fair, a fundraising event held by Wallington Primary School.

Bellarine Peninsula
The Bellarine Peninsula is a peninsula located south-west of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia, surrounded by Port Phillip, Corio Bay and Bass Strait. The peninsula, together with the Mornington Peninsula separates Port Phillip from Bass Strait. The peninsula itself was originally occupied by Indigenous Australian clans of the Wathaurong nation, prior to European settlement in the early 19th century.

Drysdale railway station
Drysdale is a railway station on the Queenscliff branch line off the main Warnambool line in Victoria, Australia. It is 110 km from Melbourne, and 65 m (212 ft) above sea level. The station lies next to Lake Lorne and was first opened on 21 May 1879. It operated until 6 November 1976 when it was closed.
Lake Connewarre
Lake Connewarre is a shallow estuarine lake located on the Barwon River, on the Bellarine Peninsula near Geelong, Victoria. It is adjacent to, and downstream from, the freshwater Reedy Lake. Lake Connewarre is linked to the sea by the mangrove-fringed channel of the lower Barwon River estuary, resulting in the lake being subject to tidal flows, with a weir at the inflow to the lake preventing saline water progressing upstream.

Lake Connewarre State Wildlife Reserve (LCSWR) is a 3411.1 ha Park that contains a diverse range of unique and significant ecosystems including a river, tidal delta, lakes, swamps, salt marshes and grasslands.
Point Henry smelter
The Point Henry aluminium smelter is located near Geelong, Victoria in the suburb of Moolap. The smelter has a production capacity of 185,000 tonnes of aluminium a year. It is operated by Alcoa World Alumina and Chemicals Australia, a joint venture between Alcoa (60%) and Alumina Limited (39.25%).

Ocean Grove Nature Reserve
The Ocean Grove Nature Reserve is a rectangular, 1.43 km nature reserve next to the town of Ocean Grove and 25 km south-east of the city of Geelong, on the Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria, Australia. It contains the only significant remnant of native woodland on the Bellarine Peninsula as it was prior to European settlement and the extensive land clearing that ensued. It is surrounded by agricultural land and a housing estate and is managed by Parks Victoria.
Lake Lorne
Lake Lorne is a small (12 ha) freshwater lake on the Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria, Australia, immediately south-west of the township of Drysdale. It is a popular birdwatching site and is well known for its variety of waterbirds, many of which have been recorded as breeding there. Lake Lorne lies in a depression in the underlying limestone and has no surface outlet.
Reedy Lake
Reedy Lake, historically also known as Lake Reedy, is a shallow 5.5 km freshwater lake or swamp on the lower reaches of the Barwon River, on the Bellarine Peninsula near the city Geelong, Victoria, Australia. It is included in the Lake Connewarre State Game Reserve, which is managed by Parks Victoria. It is the largest freshwater swamp in central Victoria, and is part of a wetland complex which includes Hospital Swamp, Lake Connewarre, Salt Swamp and the Barwon estuary.
Murtnaghurt Lagoon
Murtnaghurt Lagoon, also known as Murtnaghurt Swamp or Lake Murtnaghurt, is a shallow, ephemeral wetland west of the town of Barwon Heads on the southern coast of the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. It comprises two enclosed depressions, elongated west-east and separated by a low ridge. The wetland is about 2 km in length, and up to 600 m wide, with 4.5 km of shoreline enclosing an area of 81 ha.
Bellarine Wetlands Important Bird Area
The Bellarine Wetlands Important Bird Area comprises a group of wetland sites, with a collective area of 46 km, at the western end of the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, south-eastern Australia. The site is important for waterbirds and Orange-bellied Parrots.
