Francis Ormond
Francis Ormond (23 November 1827 – 5 May 1889) was a Scottish-born Australian pastoralist, member of the Parliament of Victoria and philanthropist in the areas of education and religion. Ormond is notable for founding the Working Men's College of Melbourne, which became the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), and for endowing the position of Ormond Professor of Music and donating the majority of funds towards the establishment of Ormond College, both at the University of Melbourne.
HM Prison Geelong
HM Prison Geelong was a maximum security Australia prison located on the corner of Myers Street and Swanston Street in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. The prison was built in stages from 1849 to 1864. Its panopticon design is based on Pentonville Prison in England. The prison was officially closed in 1991 and prisoners were moved to the newly built HM Prison Barwon in Lara.

Lightning (clipper)
Lightning was a clipper ship, one of the last really large clippers to be built in the USA. She was built by Donald McKay for James Baines of the Black Ball Line, Liverpool, for the Australia trade. It has been said that the Lightning was the most extreme example of a type of ship classified as an extreme clipper. Her builder was the famous Donald McKay of Boston, a follower of John Willis Griffiths and his principles of ship design.
South Geelong railway station
South Geelong is a railway station on the Geelong railway line in South Geelong, Victoria, Australia. It is 76 km from Southern Cross station. South Geelong is the terminus for some V/Line services, and includes a run-around loop for locomotive-hauled services which terminate there. The station was once the junction for the branch line to Queenscliff, the route of which is now occupied by the Bellarine Rail Trail and the Bellarine Peninsula Railway.

Eastern Beach (Victoria)
Eastern Beach is a specific beach in Geelong, not to be confused with Waterfront Geelong. Eastern Beach is a popular swimming and recreation area in Geelong, Victoria on the shores of Corio Bay. Built during the 1930s in the Art Deco style, a shark proof sea bath is provided, as well as a children's swimming pool, kiosk, and dressing room pavilion. A number of Art Deco buildings in the area are listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.
Hi-Lite Park
Hy-Lite Park was an amusement park in Geelong, Australia, located on the corner of Bellarine Street and Ritchie Boulevard, near Eastern Beach where the tram terminus once stood. It opened in 1956 and closed circa 1985. It was a very popular foreshore attraction in Geelong, comparable to Luna Park, Melbourne. The Hy-Lite Park was closed to make way for the new redevelopment of the Eastern Beach precinct in the 1990s.

Since the completion of the current he Gothic revival bluestone building in 1937 St Mary of the Angels has the tallest bluestone spire in Australia, at 150 feet and is the 4th tallest church (non-cathedral) in Australia. In 2004 it became Australia's fifth basilica upon gaining Vatican approval.

Westfield Geelong is a shopping centre located in the Geelong CBD in Victoria, Australia which was opened in 1988. It was formerly known as Westfield Bay City before the 2008 redevelopment, and as Bay City Plaza before being acquired by the Westfield Group in 2003. The centre is located on the northern side of Malop Street opposite the Market Square shopping complex, and is bounded by Moorabool, Yarra, and Gheringhap Streets.

Market Square was a town square located in the centre of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. Consisting of eight acres (2.9 hectares) of land, the area was reserved by Governor Sir George Gipps as a town square during the initial surveying of Geelong. The area later became a produce market, before being progressively built upon. Today the Market Square Shopping Centre occupies the site, having been opened in 1985 by the City of Geelong.

Geelong High School is a co-educational, public, secondary school located in East Geelong, Victoria, Australia. The school opened in 1910, making it one of Victoria's oldest state secondary schools, and moved to its current site in 1915. The current principal is Glenn Davey It is situated on the corner of Garden and Ryrie streets and backs on to Eastern Gardens, (home of the Geelong Botanical Gardens). Both Eastern Beach and the centre of Geelong are within easy walking distance.
Corio Oval
Corio Oval was an Australian rules football ground, located in Geelong, Victoria and used by the Geelong Football Club in the VFL from 1897 to 1941. Sited in Eastern Park, the oval was served by trams from 1930 when the line was extended along Ryrie Street to the football ground. At the end of the 1940 season, the club was forced to relocate due to the oval being required for military training during World War 2.

The Geelong Hospital is an Australian public hospital located in Ryrie Street, Geelong, Victoria. The hospital is part of Barwon Health, Victoria's largest regional health care provider, which has 21 sites. It is the largest hospital in regional Victoria and the only tertiary hospital outside of the Melbourne Metropolitan area. The site is bounded by Ryrie, Bellarine, Myers, and Swanston Streets.

Market Square Shopping Centre is located in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. The shopping centre was named after the original town square of Geelong on which the shopping centre is constructed. The centre is surrounded by Little Malop, Moorabool, Malop, and Yarra Streets. Market Square is located on the southern side of Malop Street opposite the Westfield Geelong shopping complex.
T & G Building, Geelong
The T & G Building is a distinctive building in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. It is located on the corner of Moorabool and Ryrie Streets. Construction was announced by the T & G Mutual Life Assurance Society in June 1933, while Geelong was still suffering the effects of the Great Depression. It costed 37,000 pounds ($74,000) and was completed by 1934. The 'Father and Son' clock was installed near the top of the tower.

The current Geelong Post Office opened in 1994 and is located on the corner of Gheringhap and Little Myers Streets. The original post office was located on the corner of Ryrie and Gheringhap Streets. The Geelong Telegraph Station was located next door.
Geelong Showgrounds
The Geelong Showgrounds in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, are the home of the Royal Geelong Show, an agricultural show held every year since 1855. The current showgrounds are located in the suburb of Breakwater. The focus of the Royal Geelong Show is the display of rural industry, including livestock and produce, with associated competitions and awards. The show also features amusement rides, a sideshow alley, and showbags, carry bags full of goodies produced by various commercial enterprises.

The first moves to providing an electricity supply to Geelong were made in 1898, with three separate companies vying for the right to operate in the city. Two of these companies merged to form the Electric Lighting and Traction Company of Australia, who built the Geelong A power station.
