Ballarat East, Victoria
Ballarat East, is a suburb of Ballarat in Victoria, Australia. Ballarat East covers a large area east (and also north) of the CBD. It is the oldest area in Ballarat and was once also a municipality known as the Ballarat East Town Council between 1859 and 1921. The population of Ballarat East at the 2006 census was 4,995 making it the fifth most populated in the Ballarat urban area.
Brown Hill, Victoria
Brown Hill is a suburb of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia on the eastern rural-urban fringe of the city, 5 kilometres east of the Central Business District. The population at the 2006 census was 2,057. The suburb's name is a corruption of Brownbill's Hill, which was named after prospector William Brownbill, who early during the Ballarat gold rush claimed and settled the area.
Warrenheip railway station
Warrenheip is a closed station located in the town of Warrenheip, on the Serviceton railway line in Victoria, Australia. The Geelong-Ballarat line junctions off at the down end of the former station. The line though the station opened in 1862, on the double track railway from Geelong to Ballarat. The station opened in 1873, becoming a junction in 1879 when a branch line was built towards Gordon station, the direct line to Melbourne not completed until 1889.

Kryal Castle
Kryal Castle is an Australian replica medieval castle located on a foothill of Mount Warrenheip at Leigh Creek, just north of Dunnstown and 8 km east of Ballarat. It was built in 1972 and opened to the public in 1974 by Keith Ryall, who gave the castle his namesake, having made his fortune selling body armour. The castle has many features including a moat, drawbridge, maze, castle towers, stocks medical museum, armoury.

Ballarat Central (known as the Central Business Area by the City of Ballarat and sometimes simply as "Ballarat") is the central locality of Greater Ballarat in Victoria, Australia. The population of Ballarat Central at the 2006 census was 5,645, making it the third most populous in the urban area.
Warrenheip, Victoria
Warrenheip is a suburb of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia on the eastern rural-urban fringe named after nearby Mount Warrenheip. At the 2006 census, Warrenheip had a population of 435. While Ballarat district gold prospectors were present in the 1860s and a primary school was opened however it wasn't until the 1870s that Warrenheip was established as a separate agricultural community. The railway from Geelong to Ballarat was built nearby and Warrenheip railway station opened in 1873.
Nerrina, Victoria
Nerrina is a suburb of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia on the north-eastern rural-urban fringe of the city, 4 kilometres east of the Central Business District. The population at the 2011 census was 849. Nerrina is a semi-rural suburb with a very small township and commercial area. It is located on the foothills of the Brown Hill range and straddles both sides of the Western Freeway.
