Sorell, Tasmania
Sorell is a town in Tasmania, Australia, south-east of Hobart. It is located on the Tasman Highway at the junction with the Arthur Highway. At the 2006 census, Sorell had a population of 1,546, and at the 2011 census, a population of 2,476. Sorell was name after William Sorell, the third Lieutenant-Governor of Van Diemen's Land. Historically, it was known as a major town on the route from Hobart to Port Arthur on the Tasman Peninsula.
Midway Point, Tasmania
Midway Point is an outlying suburb of Hobart, capital of Tasmania, Australia. It is in the local government area of Sorell Council, and is located on a small peninsula with Orielton Lagoon on its eastern side and Pitt Water on its southern and western sides. The suburb meets the mid-way point of the Sorell Causeway from Hobart to Sorell, hence the name. The suburb lies close to Hobart International Airport and is approximately 21 km to Hobart via the Tasman Highway.
Saltwater River, Tasmania
Saltwater River (also known as Saltwater Creek) is a former penal colony on the Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania, Australia. It is 23 kilometres from Port Arthur, and 106 kilometres from Hobart. At the 2006 census, Saltwater River had a population of 156. The Saltwater River area contained two penal settlements. One was an agricultural settlement, which produced vegetables, wheat, and had a piggery. The other was a coal mine, known amongst convicts for its hellish conditions.
Sorell Causeway
The Sorell Causeway is a causeway that stretches from the western side of Midway Point across Orielton Lagoon to Sorell. Together with Mcgees Bridge (that connects the eastern side of Midway Point) they connect Sorell with Hobart via the Tasman Highway. In colonial times, the Richmond Bridge had been the primary crossing point of the Coal River on the road from Hobart to Sorell and beyond to the Tasman Peninsula and Port Arthur.
Frederick Henry Bay
Frederick Henry Bay is a body of water in the southeast of Tasmania, Australia. It is located to the east of the South Arm peninsula, and west of the Tasman Peninsula. Towns on the coast of the bay include Lauderdale, Seven Mile Beach, Dodges Ferry and Primrose Sands. The bay is accessible via Storm Bay from the south, and provides further access to Norfolk Bay to its east. The bay contains Seven Mile Beach on its northern shores, the closest surfing beach to Hobart.

Copping, Tasmania
Copping is a small township and agricultural district in the south-east of Tasmania between Dunalley and Sorell. Part of the Bream Creek district, it was named after Captain Richard Copping, who purchased a property here from George Moore in 1860 upon which he settled three of his half-brothers as tenant farmers. Captain Copping established his own property Rochford Hall nearby at Kellevie. Copping Post Office opened on 1 October 1886 and closed in 1988.
