York Park
York Park is a sports ground in the Inveresk and York Park Precinct, Launceston, Australia. Holding 21,000 people—more than any other stadium in Tasmania—York Park has been known as Aurora Stadium under a six-year naming rights agreement signed with Aurora Energy in 2004. Primarily used for Australian rules football, its record attendance of 20,971 was set in June 2006, when Hawthorn Football Club played Richmond Football Club in an Australian Football League (AFL) match.

North Esk River
The North Esk River is a river in Tasmania, Australia. It is one of the tributaries of the Tamar River together with the South Esk River. It starts in the Northallerton Valley below Ben Nevis in the states North East joining with the St Patricks River, flowing through Launceston. Launceston's Old Seaport tourist feature is located on the North Esk River. The river becomes tidal downstream of Hoblers Bridge to where it meets the Tamar.

Trevallyn Power Station
Trevallyn Power Station is a hydroelectric power station on the Tamar River north of Launceston in Tasmania. It has four Francis turbines, with a combined generating capacity of 90 MW of electricity. It uses water diverted from the South Esk River by the Trevallyn Dam. The water enters the penstock tunnel 130 metres above sea level and leaves the power station at sea level, entering the Tamar River via the Tailrace Bay on Tie-Tree Bend.
NTCA Ground
The Northern Tasmania Cricket Association Ground, better known as the NTCA Ground, is a multi-use sports venue in Launceston, Australia. It is currently used mostly for club cricket matches and has a capacity of under 10,000. The Northern Tasmania Cricket Association Ground is the oldest first class cricket ground in Australia and in 1851 hosted the first first-class cricket game in Australia, with the Van Diemen's Land XI defeating the Port Phillip XI.
Trevallyn, Tasmania
Trevallyn is a suburb of Launceston, in the north of Tasmania, Australia. It is located on the north western part of the city (west of the Tamar River and north of the South Esk River). It is the location of the Cataract Gorge and the Trevallyn Dam. It was the suburb in which Sir Benjamin Gill OAM called home while he lived at his home in Whitford Grove.

Albert Hall, Launceston
The Albert Hall is a convention centre in Launceston, Tasmania in the style of high Victorian architecture, first opened as the main structure for the Tasmanian Industrial exhibition which ran from 25 November 1891 to 22 March 1892. It is located on the corner of Tamar Street and Cimitiere Street. It was first listed on the Register of the National Estate on 21 March 1978. Designed by John Duncan and built by J.T.
Kerslake Hall
Kerslake Hall is a residential college for full-time students of the University of Tasmania and Australian Maritime College. It is situated on the university's Newnham campus, Launceston, Australia. The residence is named after Irene Kerslake, a former lecturer at the Tasmanian College of Advanced Education and women's rights campaigner. The residence offers 107 self-catered rooms. Kerslake Hall is open to members of the public during university holidays, such as tourists and conference groups.
City Park Radio
City Park Radio is a community radio station in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia, broadcasting on the frequency 103.7 FM and is a member of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia. The station started broadcasting on 7 April 1986, from facilities in Newnham as 7LTN-fm. In 1988, the station moved to the 100-year-old City Park Cottage in Launceston's City Park and started using the name City Park Radio. In 1993, work was started on a new studio complex behind the cottage.

The West Tamar Highway runs through the suburb, adjoining Riverside to the West Tamar, which includes small towns: Beaconsfield, George Town and Beauty Point. Inveresk and York Park Precinct, Launceston
The Inveresk and York Park Precinct in Launceston, Tasmania, once Tasmania's largest industrial site, is now the major cultural heart of the town. It is home to Aurora Stadium, one of two current Australian Football League venues in Tasmania, the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, TAFE Tasmania, and The School of Visual and Performing Arts. The annual Royal Launceston Show is held every October at the Inveresk Showgrounds.

The Tamar Island Wetlands is a unique urban wetlands reserve near Launceston, Tasmania. It lies ten minutes' drive from Launceston on the West Tamar Highway. There are approximately 3.2 km of walking tracks at the wetlands including a boardwalk for easy access to the island.
Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame
The Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame was established to help recognise outstanding services and overall contribution made to the sport of Australian rules football in Tasmania. Any participant of the sport, including players, umpires, media personalities and coaches, may be inducted. A physical hall was established in 2005 after the Tasmanian Community Fund provided a $50,000 grant to assist AFL Tasmania and the Launceston City Council with establishment of a permanent facility at York Park.
Hotel Grand Chancellor, Launceston
The Hotel Grand Chancellor in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia formerly known as the Novetel, is a seven-storey building located in the city's central business district (CBD). Completed in August 1989, the building was constructed at a cost of $44 million, with up to 130 men working on-site. Before the official opening of the hotel, 20,000 locals visited the Chancellor on its open day.
Launceston Gasworks
The Launceston Gasworks was the principal supplier of gas to the city of Launceston in Tasmania before the importation of LPG in the 1970s. The gasworks produced gas by heating coal and siphoning off the gas that it released. The first buildings on site were the horizontal retort buildings built in 1860 from brick and sandstone. The site was later used by Origin Energy as their Launceston LPG outlet.
