Kingston, Tasmania
Kingston is a township and region on the outskirts of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Nestled 15 km south of the city between and around several hills, Kingston is the council seat of its wider municipality, the Kingborough Council, and today serves as the gateway between Hobart and the D'Entrecasteaux Channel region, which meets the Derwent River nearby. It is one of the fastest growing regions in Tasmania.

Edge Radio is a community radio station situated in the Australian city of Hobart. It is a youth oriented station, with most of its presenters under the age of thirty. The Hutchins School
The Hutchins School is an independent, Anglican, day and boarding school for boys, located in Sandy Bay, a suburb of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Hutchins is the only K-12 boys' school in the state of Tasmania, and with a student population of approximately 1000, including 50 boarders, it is also one of the largest private schools in the state. Established in 1846, the school is one of the oldest continually running schools in Australia.

Hobart College is a senior secondary college located at Mount Nelson, in Hobart, Tasmania. In January 2009 it became the Hobart Campus of the Tasmanian Polytechnic and the Tasmanian Academy, formed as part of the Tasmania Tomorrow reforms, but the changes were reversed in 2011. Hobart College offers courses for Year 11 and 12 students studying for their Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE) and Certificates for a wide range of careers.
Mount Nelson, Tasmania
Mount Nelson is a suburb of the city of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia above the Hobart suburb of Sandy Bay and to the south of Hobart's CBD. It is one of the oldest and more prestigious suburbs in Hobart. The main road in Mount Nelson is Nelson Road, which extends up the mountain from the Wrest Point Hotel Casino in the suburb of Sandy Bay. It is famously known for its "bends", which consist of seven very sharp corners created as the road winds its way up the mountain.

The school has approximately 800 students in grades 7 to 10. In 2003, Taroona High School underwent a major redevelopment. The school's previous principal was David Hamlett, after the departure of Brendan Kelly at the end of 2006.

Battery Point is named after the battery of guns which were established on the point in 1818 as part of the Hobart coastal defences. The battery no longer exists. The area is generally known as one of the city's more prestigious suburbs, with many large and extravagant homes and apartment blocks.

Tolmans Hill, Tasmania
Tolmans Hill is a suburb of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. It is likely to be the last large scale greenfield suburban development to take place within Hobart city. At the 2011 Australian Census the suburb recorded a population of 490. There was much controversy when the Tolmans Hill development was first announced as planning permits were not widely made available to the public.

Dynnyrne, Tasmania
Dynnyrne is a suburb of Hobart, Tasmania. It is situated in the hills south-west of the city, surrounded by the suburbs of Sandy Bay, South Hobart and Tolmans Hill. Dynnyrne is Tasmania's second most affluent suburb according to documents released by the Australian Taxation Office. The postal code for Dynnyrne is 7005 which is shared with Sandy Bay. Many houses situated in Dynnyrne were constructed in the 1990s. Many parts of Dynnyrne have extensive views over the Derwent River.
Bonnet Hill, Tasmania
Bonnet Hill is a suburb of the greater Hobart area, capital of Tasmania, Australia on the hill of the same name, overlooking Kingston. Bonnet Hill is a popular cycling route. Located on it is the famous Shot Tower. The sides of the hill are riddled with small paths mostly leading to the nearby Kingston Beach.

At the nearby beach of the same name, a section of the Clifton Beach Surf Life Saving Club is located. Hobart coastal defences
The Hobart coastal defences are a network of now defunct coastal batteries, some of which are inter-linked with tunnels, that were designed and built by British colonial authorities in the nineteenth century to protect the city of Hobart, Tasmania, from attack by enemy warships. During the nineteenth century, the port of Hobart Town was a vital re-supply stop for international shipping and trade, and therefore a major freight hub for the British Empire.
Kingston Interchange
The Kingston Intechange is a roundabout interchange which connects the Southern Outlet with the Huon Highway and the Channel Highway at Kingston, within the greater area of Hobart, Tasmania. The Kingston Interchange has recently been upgraded to address safety problems associated with right-turn movements at the interchange.
Mount Carmel College, Sandy Bay
Mount Carmel College is an Independent Catholic school for girls, located in Sandy Bay, a suburb of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. It was established in 1942 by the Sisters of Charity. The school currently caters for approximately 540 students from Kindergarten to Year 10. Boys are enrolled from Kindergarten to Year 2, and Girls from Kindergarten to Year 10.
Calvin Christian School (Kingston, Tasmania)
Calvin Christian School is a coeducational, independent Kindergarten to Year 12 Christian school located just 12 kilometres south of Hobart, Tasmania in Kingston, at the head of the picturesque D’Entrecasteaux Channel and the Huon Valley. It is part of Christian Schools of Tasmania, a network of five schools around Hobart. It is owned and managed by an association, whose members are parents and past parents of students.
Queenborough Oval
Queenborough Oval is the home headquarters of the Hutchins Old Boys Football Club and the South Hobart/Sandy Bay Cricket Club. The ground is a former Tasmanian Football League venue, being the former home of the Sandy Bay Football Club (now defunct) from 1945 to 1997. It is located on the corner of Nelson Road and Peel Street Sandy Bay, 5 kilometres South of the Hobart CBD.
Browns River (Tasmania)
Browns River is a river in southern Tasmania, Australia. It runs from Neika to Kingston where it flows into the Derwent River. The river was known to the indigenous people of the area as "Promenalinah". The river was named after botanist Robert Brown who collected samples in the area in 1804. When it was settled in 1808, the area adjacent to the river was also called Browns River. The locality was renamed "Kingston" in 1851.
