Glenorchy, Tasmania
Glenorchy is a business district and suburb in the northern part of greater Hobart, capital of the state of Tasmania, Australia. The land was originally used for agriculture but is now a largely suburban, working-class area. It is the seat of the local government area of the same name, the City of Glenorchy. Glenorchy is home to many facilities of the northern suburbs.
Northgate Shopping Centre
Northgate Shopping Centre is the third largest shopping centre in Tasmania. located in Glenorchy approximately 10 kilometres northwest of Hobart. The shopping centre is located on the Main Road within the CBD of Glenorchy with all stores located on the one level and a large undercover carpark situated below the main building. The centre was opened in November 1986 as a convenience centre anchored by a Coles Supermarket along with 46 speciality stores.
City of Glenorchy
The City of Glenorchy is a local government area of Tasmania which covers several northern suburbs of Hobart including the suburb of Glenorchy by the same name. The city is managed by Glenorchy City Council. Current mayor is Stuart Slade.
Claremont College

Claremont College opened in 1990 as a senior secondary Government school in Tasmania, Australia, for students in Years 11 and 12. It provides a full range of courses, preparing students for university, TAFE, traineeships and employment. Its 900 students study either on-campus or off-campus.
Claremont, Tasmania
Claremont is a suburb of the City of Glenorchy, part of the greater Hobart area, Tasmania, Australia. It is named after Claremont House, which was built in the 1830s by local settler Henry Bilton, who named it after one of the royal homes of England. Claremont was the home of an Army training facility during World War I, but this was moved to Brighton some time before World War II. At that time Claremont consisted of only a few houses and farms.
Derwent Entertainment Centre
Derwent Entertainment Centre (DEC) is a the largest indoor arena in Tasmania and the multi-purpose arena is the primary venue in Hobart for large indoor functions/events. It was constructed in 1989 and is situated in between the waterfront of the River Derwent, the Brooker Highway and Tattersalls Park. The DEC can hold up to 7,500 people for events such as concerts with a seating capacity of 5,400.
Moorilla Estate
Moorilla is a winery located in the suburb of Berriedale, 12 km north of the city centre of Hobart, Tasmania. It was established in 1958 by Italian-Australian former textile merchant Claudio Alcorso. The winery produces a number of cool climate wines, and also produces five beers under the label Moo Brew. Accommodation was added in 2000 and consisting of four hilltop chalets which feature items from the Museum of Old and New Art. Four further pavilions were opened in 2009.

Chigwell is a suburb in the 'northern suburbs' area of Hobart, the capital city of Tasmania, Australia. The suburb is situated between the suburbs of Berriedale, Claremont and Glenlusk. The suburb shares its border with Berriedale along the Brooker Highway and the streets north of Berriedale Rd. Until the late 1990s, the suburb boundary was closer to the main road. The area was originally made up of public housing, however much of the public housing stock has now been sold to private owners.

The shopping centre contains a Woolworths supermarket, a Chickenfeed discount store and several speciality shops. The Claremont Village Shopping Centre was the first fully enclosed centre in Tasmania.

The suburb is situated between the suburbs of Chigwell and Rosetta. There are no educational institutions within Berriedale, however there are primary schools in both neighbouring suburbs and a High school in Rosetta.

Rosetta is a suburb in the northern suburbs of Hobart, capital of the Australian state of Tasmania. It is in the local government area of City of Glenorchy. The suburb is situated between the suburbs of Berriedale and Montrose and is approximately 15 minutes drive from Hobart. There is a primary school and a High school in Rosetta. The Brooker Highway runs along the eastern border of the suburb, next to the Derwent River.

Montrose, is a suburb in the northern suburbs of Hobart, capital of Tasmania, Australia. The suburb is situated in close promity with Rosetta. Montrose is the suburb directly north of Glenorchy and lies within the local government area of City of Glenorchy. It is also in Montrose where the Montrose Foreshore Community Park is located. The suburb was named after Montrose House, located at the top of Montrose Road. It was built in the early 20th century.
Abbotsfield, Tasmania
Abbotsfield is a neighbourhood within the suburb of Claremont in the northern suburbs of Hobart, capital of Tasmania, Australia. It is in the local government area of Glenorchy. The area is situated slightly to the west of Austins Ferry. The area is split in two (north/south) by the Brooker Highway, and is most obvious when travelling along Abbotsfield Road. There is a primary school called Abbotsfield Primary School.
Goodwood, Tasmania
Goodwood is a suburb of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. It is part of the City of Glenorchy. The small residential suburb starts just south-east of the Brooker Highway and Goodwood Road junction. It is best known for its annual Christmas light decorations. Most houses in Goodwood were built in the 1950s as public housing. The suburb is also home to light industry and docks. An Anglican Church and two Primary Schools are also located in the suburb.

Otago is a suburb on the eastern shore of Hobart, capital of Tasmania, Australia. It is located on the shores of Otago Bay. At the 2011 Australian Census the suburb recorded a population of 556. The area takes its name from the iron barque Otago, the only command of the author Joseph Conrad, which was dismantled at a shipbreaking establishment that operated at the bay (formerly known simply as part of Old Beach) between the 1920s and 1960s.
KGV Oval
The KGV Oval is the home headquarters of the Glenorchy football and cricket clubs, as well as the Southern Football League The ground is a former TFL and now Tasmanian State League and also a Southern Football League finals venue. It is located in the heart of Glenorchy less than 1 kilometre from the Glenorchy CBD, 7 kilometres from Hobart City. It is also the third largest capacity venue in Tasmanian football after North Hobart Oval (18,000), and Aurora Stadium (20,000).
Tattersalls Park
Tattersalls Park (or Elwick Racecourse) is a Thoroughbred horse-racing venue located on Goodwood Road within Glenorchy, Tasmania, Australia. It is located in close proximity to the Brooker Highway, the Hobart Showground, the Derwent Entertainment Centre and the River Derwent. The Racecourse has a picturesque outlook across the river, as well as being dominated by views of Mount Wellington.
Cadbury's Chocolate Factory, Tasmania
Cadbury's Chocolate Factory is a working chocolate factory belonging to the Australian division of international confectionery company Cadbury Schweppes, and is located in Claremont, Tasmania, Australia. Despite being a working production facility, Cadbury's Claremont has a rich history with 18 heritage listed buildings on the site. The factory still features pure granite "Conching" machines which are over 60 years old but are still in use.

Claremont High School was a public high school for grades 7 to 10 located in Claremont in the northern suburbs of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Built in 1961 on the site of Windemere house, Claremont High School was the main high school for the Claremont area. Claremont High School merged with Rosetta High School to become Montrose Bay High School in 2011.

Museum of Old and New Art
The Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) is an art museum located within the Moorilla winery on the Berriedale peninsula in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. It is the largest privately funded museum in Australia. The museum presents antiquities, modern and contemporary art from the David Walsh collection. Walsh has described the museum as a "subversive adult Disneyland. " MONA was officially opened on 21 January 2011, coinciding with the third MONA FOMA festival.
