Devonport is a city in the northwestern part of Tasmania, Australia, situated at the mouth of the Mersey River. Along with the slightly smaller city of Burnie, Devonport is the major regional centre of the northwestern part of the state.
Spreyton, Tasmania
Spreyton is a small town just south of Devonport, Tasmania, Australia. At the 2006 census, Spreyton had a population of 934. Spreyton is home to the fourth-generation family run business Spreyton Fresh. Spreyton Fresh have had apple orchards in Spreyton since 1908 and in 1997 due to the downturn in juice apple prices have been producing a premium fresh apple juice. Spreyton Post Office opened on 19 February 1883.

The Barracks is the home of the 160 Transport Troop, 44th Transport Squadron which is a sub-unit of the 2nd Force Support Battalion. Kokoda is also home to the Army and Air Force Cadets living in the area. The Barracks also has a small number of soldiers from the 12th/40th Battalion, Royal Tasmania Regiment, which has its HQ in Hobart.
