Renmark, South Australia
Renmark is a town in South Australia's rural Riverland area, and is located 254 km northeast of Adelaide, on the banks of the River Murray. The Sturt Highway between Adelaide and Sydney runs through the town; Renmark is the last major town encountered in South Australia when driving this route. It is 31 m above sea level. It is the oldest European settlement on the River Murray. At the 2006 census, Renmark had a population of 4,339.
Paringa, South Australia
Paringa is a small town in the Riverland of South Australia. Paringa is famous for its vineyards, almond, citrus and stone fruit orchards, and the steel bridge with a span that can be raised to allow houseboats and paddlesteamers to pass underneath and across the Murray River to Renmark. Paringa is regarded as an outer suburb of Renmark. At the 2006 census, Paringa had a population of 946. Paringa today is a satellite town to the much larger Renmark, 4 km downstream.

Lyrup is a town in South Australia's rural Riverland area. Lyrup is located on the banks of the Murray River. It is 267 kilometres north-east of Adelaide, the capital of the state of South Australia and 25 kilometres from Renmark. At the 2006 census, Lyrup had a population of 502. Lyrup is accessible by ferry. It was established in 1894 by the South Australian government as a part of the creation of a communal land system (one of twelve settlements). 243 people originally settled in Lyrup.

1062 ABC Riverland is an ABC Local Radio station based in Renmark, South Australia, broadcasting to the Riverland and Mallee region. The station began broadcasting as 5MV in 1957. It originally broadcast on 1593 kHz. It moved to 1305 kHz in 1988, before changing to 1062 in 1996. In the early years it carried a mix of programming including local news and specific rural information aimed at ‘the fruit blockers and those on the land’.
