Yatala Labour Prison
Yatala Labour Prison is a low- to high-security men's prison in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. It was built in 1854 to enable prisoners to work at the creek, quarrying rock for roads and construction. Originally known as The Stockade it acquired its current name from a local Aboriginal word. The prison has been expanded many times but still has functioning buildings that date to the 1850s.

Oakden is a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, located to the north-east of the Central Business District. It was established as a housing estate named Regent Gardens in the 1980s and is located on former Department of Agriculture land. It was then renamed 'Oakden' in 1993 after the maiden name of the wife of Osmond Gilles, who was South Australia's first Colonial Treasurer. Gilles married in 1825 to Patience Oakden at Hamburg, Germany, but she died in England in 1833.
