Stirling, South Australia
Note: Stirling North is a different town, in the Mid North of South Australia. Stirling (sometimes called Stirling East) is an affluent town located in the Adelaide Hills. It is administered by the Adelaide Hills Council. Its population is about 2500, though the town has largely merged with neighbouring townships such as Crafers and Aldgate. Other nearby towns are Heathfield and Bridgewater.
Aldgate, South Australia
Aldgate is a South Australian town located 21 kilometres south-east of Adelaide, in the Adelaide Hills. The town of Aldgate was supposedly named in 1882 after the local hotel the Aldgate Pump, which was named by Richard D. Hawkins, who had additionally opened the nearby Crafers Inn. The hotel was named after the pump he had installed outside, and Aldgate in London, England, which is an Old English derivation of old gate.
Piccadilly, South Australia
Piccadilly is a small town in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia, Australia. At the 2006 census, Piccadilly had a population of 509. The Piccadilly Valley was for many decades a market gardening centre which produced food for the Adelaide and overseas market. A large part of the valley is now used for growing premium 'cool climate' grape varieties. Piccadilly is home to the Woodhouse Scout Centre, which in addition to scout jamborees hosts school camps and various outdoor activities.
Bridgewater, South Australia
Bridgewater is a town in the Adelaide Hills, south-east of Adelaide in South Australia. It is the former end of the Adelaide-Bridgewater railway line; this route was closed in 1987. The railway was converted to standard gauge in 1995 and continues to be the main line from Adelaide to Melbourne, but no trains stop at the now demolished Bridgewater railway station.
Bridgewater railway station
Bridgewater railway station was a railway station located in the Adelaide Hills suburb of Bridgewater and was 37.2 km or 23 miles, 32 chains away from Adelaide by rail. The station opened in the 1880s and was the terminus of the now defunct Bridgewater line. It consisted of three platforms (all of which are now demolished). Platform 1 was a stand alone platform that was 140.2 metres long and Platforms 2 and 3 were an island platform both 170.7 metres long.
Carripook railway station
Carripook station was 36.380 km (22m72ch) by rail from Adelaide Railway Station on the now closed Bridgewater line. It was located in the Adelaide Hills suburb of Bridgewater, South Australia, to the east of the Kain Avenue level crossing. It consisted merely of a platform, 67.1 metres in length, and a shelter shed. A reserve is located right next to the station, but lacks interest by local residents. The station lasted well after passenger service on this line stopped in 1987.
Aldgate railway station, Adelaide

Aldgate railway station was a railway station on the former Bridgewater railway line in the Adelaide Hills suburb of Aldgate, South Australia. It was located 34.5 km by railway from Adelaide Railway Station. This station was very similar to Blackwood; the station building and shelter was the same.
Jibilla railway station
Jibilla railway station was 35.6 km (22m 29ch) by rail from the Adelaide Railway Station on the now closed Bridgewater line in South Australia. The station was located in the Adelaide Hills suburb of Aldgate, South Australia, immediately east of the Yatina Road level crossing, and was on the opposite side of Mount Barker Road to the Aldgate bus depot. Facilities were basic, consisting of an 85.3 metre long platform and a shelter.
