Annandale, Queensland
Annandale is a suburb of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. It borders the southern side of Ross River. It is the biggest suburb of Townsville and thus the most populated in the city. It was the biggest planned Housing development in Townsville City, which started construction in the mid-1970s and was completed in early 2005, Annandale is one of Townsville's newest suburbs and is home to some of Townsville's wealthy, who live more toward the riverbank.

The facility is more commonly known as "Stuart Prison", "Stewart's Creek Penal Establishment", "H.M. Prison Townsville", and now known as "Townsville Correctional Complex. " It was the only correctional centre in Queensland to hold mainstream males, females and protection prisoners within the same secure perimeter.
Aitkenvale, Queensland
Aitkenvale is a suburb of Townsville, North Queensland, Australia. It is named after Thomas Aitken, the original grantee of Portion 38, Parish of Coonambelah. He began subdividing the property during the 1880s, putting 440 quarter-acre residential allotments on the market in 1885. A dairy farm was established in the region by Thomas Aitken in about 1867. Aitkenvale is now a major commercial and residential district of the city.

Reef HQ
Reef HQ (typeset as ReefHQ) is the largest living coral reef aquarium. It is located in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. The aquarium was built as a Bicentennial Commemorative project and is a part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA). The Coral Reef Exhibit has 130 coral species and 120 fish species along with hundreds of species of sea stars, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, brittle stars, feather stars, snails, worms and sponges.

Ross Creek is an estuary inlet within the city of Townsville, Queensland. It separates the Townsville CBD from Ross Island. The only passage across Ross Creek was by ferry until Victoria Bridge was completed in 1889.
Antil Plains Aerodrome
Antil Plains Aerodrome was an aerodrome located 19.38 kilometres south of Townsville, Queensland, Australia near Antill Plains. The aerodrome was constructed in 1942, during World War II, for the Royal Australian Air Force as part of a group of airfields to be used as aircraft dispersal fields in the event of Imperial Japanese attack on the Townsville area. It was leased to the United States Army Air Forces. The aerodrome had two runways, one running east-west and the other NE-SW.

Annandale State Primary School is a large school situated in the Townsville suburb of Annandale. Annandale was established in 1998 and boasts landscaped grounds surrounding fully airconditioned buildings. All buildings are also cabled for Internet access. A major project during 2005/6 was the completion of a roof over the school's two tennis courts.

The old Townsville Railway Station, formerly The Great Northern Railway Station, is a three-storey, red brick structure on Flinders Street in Townsville, Australia. The original terminus for The Great Northern Railway, the station became an important in the economic growth of Townsville during the early 20th century.
