City of Thuringowa
The City of Thuringowa was a city and local government area in North Queensland, Australia covering the northern and western parts of what is now Townsville. The suburb of Thuringowa Central is the main business centre in this area. Thuringowa was named after the German region of Thuringia where the shire's first chairman, John von Stieglitz originated. Prior to its proclamation as a city on 1 January 1986, Thuringowa was a large rural shire, almost surrounding the City of Townsville.
Division of Herbert
The Division of Herbert is an Australian Electoral Division in Queensland. Eligible voters within the Division elect a single representative, known as the member for Herbert, to the Australian House of Representatives. The division was one of the original 75 divisions contested at the 1901 election. It is located in northern Queensland, and is named for Sir Robert Herbert, the first Premier of Queensland (1859–1866).
Garbutt, Queensland
Garbutt is a residential and industrial suburb in the city of Townsville, in northern Queensland, Australia. Townsville International Airport (formerly known as Garbutt Airport) is located there. Mount Louisa, Queensland
Mount Louisa is a semi-rural residential suburb located on the north and ocean side of Townsville city. It is placed around the foothills of Mount Louisa itself rising from 15 m above sea level to the mountain's peak of 185 m ASL. Ryan Catholic College
Ryan Catholic College is a combined, co-educational, primary and secondary school in what is now the City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. It was established by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Townsville in 1979. Ryan is the largest catholic school in Townsville. It currently has over 1900 enrolments and employs approximately 200 teachers. It is unique in the fact that students are not required to address their teachers by their prefixes and last names.
Willows Sports Complex
The Willows Sports Complex, currently known as 1300SMILES Stadium due to sponsorship rights, is a grass football stadium situated in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. It has historically been used mainly for rugby league, and is the home ground of the National Rugby League club the North Queensland Cowboys. It has also been used for rugby union. For sponsorship reasons, the stadium was previously known as Stockland Stadium (1995–98), Malanda Stadium (1998) and Dairy Farmers Stadium (1999–2013).

Riverway, Townsville
Riverway is a riverfront parkland attraction located in the Condon Suburb of Townsville that opened in July 2006. It stretches along 11 km of the Ross River, with areas at Pioneer Park, Loam Island, Apex Park and Ross Park at the Ross River Dam. The areas of Riverway that have been completed are Pioneer Park and Loam Island. Riverway is connected directly to the Thuringowa Central business district via a pathway along the foreshore.
Deeragun, Queensland
Deeragun is an outer suburb of Townsville in Queensland, Australia, located approximately 16.5 km west of the Townsville CBD. Deeragun is mainly a residential and rural-residential suburb characterised by the hill at Innes Estate and the Saunders Creek nature strip. As at 2011 the population is 3,525 residents.
Thuringowa Central, Queensland
Thuringowa Central is a suburb and a commercial hub in western Townsville, Queensland. It was the central business district of the former City of Thuringowa before its amalgamation with the adjacent City of Townsville in 2008. Bushland Beach, Queensland

Bushland Beach is home to the 4 star Ocean Palms Resort. Fishing, swimming and water activities are popular and at low tide you can walk to an old wooden shipwreck. The beach is well serviced by the Resort, playgrounds, skatepark, barbecue facilities and a boat ramp.
Kirwan Health Campus
Kirwan Health Campus is a hospital and health service located in the suburb of Kirwan, Queensland, Australia, and is the main health facility serving residents in the City of Townsville, about 12 kilometres west of the Townsville CBD. The Kirwan Health Campus offers a range of specialist services and is not an emergency or general hospital, such services are provided out of the Townsville Hospital in nearby Douglas.

The aerodrome was constructed in 1942, during World War II, for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as part of a group of airfields to be used as aircraft dispersal fields in the event of Imperial Japanese attack on the Townsville area.
Bohle River Aerodrome
Bohle River Aerodrome was an aerodrome located 12.66 km west of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. The aerodrome was constructed in 1942, during World War II, for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as part of a group of airfields to be used as aircraft dispersal fields in the event of Imperial Japanese attack on the Townsville area. The aerodrome consisted of a bitumen sealed 5,580 ft × 150 ft ( m × m) NE-SW runway. A remote receiving station was constructed nearby.

Purono Park is a small residential suburb situated in between Yabulu and Bluewater, approximately 25 kilometres north of the Townsville and Thuringowa urban centres, in Queensland, Australia. The suburb runs adjacent to Althaus Creek and is accessed via Purono Parkway, which runs north from the Bruce Highway. The two main community facilities located in Purono Park are the Bluewater Medical Practice and the Bluewater Caravan Park.
Yabulu, Queensland
Yabulu is a small residential suburb approximately 25 kilometres north of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. At the 2011 Australian Census the population of Yabulu was 675. The Bruce Highway passes through the suburb which fronts Halifax Bay. Yabulu is the site of a major nickel and cobalt refinery, owned by Clive Palmer. Facilities located at Yabulu include a Mobil service station.

Bohle River
The Bohle River is a short river north of Townsville in Queensland, Australia. The Bohle river catchment is approximately 355 km², draining most of the coastal plain west of Townsville. Tributaries include Middle Creek, Stony Creek, Stag Creek and Garner Creek. The river supports recreational fishing, particularly of barramundi. The Bohle is less than 15 minutes from nearly anywhere in Townsville. Popular for river fishing, the Bohle River is also good for collecting bait.
Domain Central
Domain Central is an outlet shopping centre in Townsville. It is a Queensland's largest major outlet and large goods shopping centre, containing 50 stores including major retailers such as Dick Smith, JB Hi-Fi, Freedom, Lincraft, Trade Secret and a number of other homemaker, fashion and discount outlets. The shopping centre was developed in 2006 and 2007 by Lancini Developments and is currently managed by Fenis Real Estate.

Pinnacles Gallery is a dynamic art space located within the Riverway Arts Centre at Riverway, Townsville, with a mission "to make sure its programs are contemporary, engaging, accessible, interactive and enjoyable".
