James Cook University
James Cook University (JCU) is a public university based in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. The university has three Australian campuses in Townsville, Brisbane and Cairns respectively, and an international campus in Singapore. JCU is the second oldest university in Queensland—proclaimed in 1970—and the first tertiary education institution in North Queensland. JCU is one of only seventeen Australian universities that were listed in the ARWU top 400 academic world universities in 2008.
Annandale, Queensland
Annandale is a suburb of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. It borders the southern side of Ross River. It is the biggest suburb of Townsville and thus the most populated in the city. Antil Plains Aerodrome
Antil Plains Aerodrome was an aerodrome located 19.38 kilometres south of Townsville, Queensland, Australia near Antill Plains. The aerodrome was constructed in 1942, during World War II, for the Royal Australian Air Force as part of a group of airfields to be used as aircraft dispersal fields in the event of Imperial Japanese attack on the Townsville area. It was leased to the United States Army Air Forces. The aerodrome had two runways, one running east-west and the other NE-SW.

A major project during 2005/6 was the completion of a roof over the school's two tennis courts.
