University of Southern Queensland
The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) is based in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, with campuses also in Springfield and Fraser Coast. The institution was established in 1967 as the Queensland Institute of Technology (Darling Downs). In 1971, it became the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education, then the University College of Southern Queensland in 1990 and finally the University of Southern Queensland in 1992.

The Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education (DDIAE) was a tertiary education facility offering undergraduate (Bachelor level and below) degrees and certificates in Toowoomba, Queensland Australia, from the 1967 until it was elevated to University College status (1990) and later University status (1992) as the University of Southern Queensland. DDIAE was originally a campus of the Queensland Institute of Technology.

Toowoomba South State School
Toowoomba South State School is a primary school located on the southern edge of the Toowoomba CBD in Queensland, Australia. Toowoomaba South is one of the oldest primary schools in Queensland. It is the oldest State School in Toowoomba proper (Drayton State School is older). It was first opened in 1865, as school number 112. Initially the school was co-educational.
Electoral district of Toowoomba East
The Electoral district of Toowoomba East was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland. It was created with the 1960 redistribution and removed by the 1972 redistribution. The seat was based on the City of Toowoomba. The member for Toowoomba, Mervyn Anderson successfully stood for election in Toowoomba East in 1960 after his previous seat was lost in the redistribution.

Toowoomba was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland. It was created in 1912 when the old seat of Drayton & Toowoomba split into Toowoomba, East Toowoomba and Drayton. Toowoomba was abolished in the 1960 redistribution. The seat was based on the City of Toowoomba. The member for Drayton & Toowoomba, James Tolmie, successfully stood for election in Toowoomba in 1912 after the split.
Electoral district of East Toowoomba
The Electoral District of East Toowoomba was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland. It was created in 1912 when the old seat of Drayton & Toowoomba split into East Toowoomba, Toowoomba and Drayton. East Toowoomba ceased to exist in 1950. In the 1960 redistribution, a seat of Toowoomba East was created that lasted until 1972. When East Toowoomba was lost to redistribution, Sir Gordon Chalk contested the seat of Lockyer successfully.
Electoral district of Drayton and Toowoomba
Electoral District of Drayton and Toowoomba was the original seat for the urban settlement on the eastern Darling Downs. In 1912, it was redistributed into Drayton (1912–1927), Toowoomba (1912–1960) and East Toowoomba (1912–1950). The district elected one member from 1860 to 1878 and two members from 1878 to 1888. The seat is notable for Member and perennial Toowoomba Mayor William Henry Groom who went on to be the region's representative at the first Commonwealth Parliament in 1901.
Darling Heights, Queensland
Darling Heights is an outer southern suburb of Toowoomba, Queensland. Its Local Government Area is the Toowoomba Region. It lies on the southern edge of the city, on the west ridge. The land falls away steeply to the west toward Drayton, the slope being occupied by detached bungalow housing with an admixture of larger homes, duplexes and small blocks of units. Most of these dwellings are less than 10 years old, the area having previously been mostly horse paddocks, of which few remain.

St. Joseph's College, Toowoomba
St Joseph's College is located in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. The school was founded by the Irish Christian Brothers as an all-boys school in 1956. The school, off James Street, Toowoomba, is no longer administered by the Christian Brothers. Its website is here. The school motto is to "Serve Him In Others", meaning to serve God in others. There are currently approximately 700 students enrolled at the college.

Toowoomba Grammar School is an independent, non-denominational, day and boarding grammar school for boys, in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. The school was founded in 1875 as a consequence of the Grammar Schools Act of 1860 passed by Queensland's first parliament. The original building was designed by Willoughby Powell and completed in 1876, first opening its doors to boys on 1 February 1877.
