Division of Fisher
The Division of Fisher is an Australian Electoral Division in Queensland. The division was created in 1949 and is named for Andrew Fisher, three times Prime Minister of Australia. It is located in the Sunshine Coast area north of Brisbane and includes the towns of Caloundra, Mooloolaba, Beerwah, Maleny, Woodford and Kilcoy. Ewen Maddock Dam
Ewen Maddock Dam is one of many smaller dams on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. It is situated approximately 5 km south east of Mooloolah and 3 km from Landsborough. The dam is managed by the Qld Water. Ewen Maddock Dam has a surface area of 370 hectares and holds 16 700 ML of water at an average depth of 4.5 m . It was built across Addlington Creek, a tributary of the Mooloolah River in 1973, to supply the fast growing region with town water.
Baroon Pocket Dam
Lake Baroon is formed by Baroon Pocket Dam, a dam constructed in 1988 on Obi Obi Creek, in South East Queensland. The two smaller creeks, Bridge Creek and Forbes Creek also provide inflows to the dam. The reservoir has a surface area of 400 ha, an average depth of 15 metres and holds some 60 000 ML of water. It is situated 7 km NE of Maleny and 5 km SW of Montville. Just below the dam is Obi Obi Gorge, one of the few remaining places left where the Mary River cod maintains a wild population.
