Borallon Correctional Centre
Borallon Correctional Centre was an Australian prison located on Ivan Lane, Borallon, Queensland, Australia, approximately 15 minutes from Ipswich. It was the first private correctional facility which operated in Australia. It had a capacity of 492 prisoners. The prison was accredited by the Correctional Education Association (CEA). It was the first facility outside the United States to achieve this distinction.

Splityard Creek Dam
Splityard Creek Dam, of earth and rock construction, forms the upper reservoir for a power station in the Somerset Region of South East Queensland, Australia. Owned and operated by CS Energy, Wivenhoe Power Station is located on the eastern side of Wivenhoe Dam, north west of Brisbane. The station, which began commercial operation in 1984, was Queensland’s first pumped storage hydro-electric plant. It is operated remotely from an operating centre used to manage the Queensland electricity grid.
Lake Manchester Dam
Lake Manchester is built on Cabbage Tree Creek in the suburb of the same name, not far above its confluence with the Brisbane River in South East Queensland, Australia. The dam wall is a concrete gravity-section type. Its original purpose was to supplement supplies when the flow of the Brisbane River was low. Today it is one of a number of dams connected to the South East Queensland Water Grid. The dam is owned by Seqwater.

Brisbane Valley railway line
The Brisbane Valley Railway Branch was a railway connection in Queensland, Australia connecting Ipswich, west of Brisbane, to the upper Brisbane River valley. Progressively opened between 1884 and 1913 the railway provided a vital transport link between Ipswich and Yarraman and forged development and prosperity along its path. The line acquired its serpentine reputation because it did not take a straight course when faced with a hill or gully.
