Prenzlau, Queensland
Prenzlau is a town situated in the Lockyer Valley at the southern end of the Somerset Region LGA in southeastern Queensland, Australia. At the 2006 census, Prenzlau had a population of 1,120. The area was settled by German immigrants from the Uckermark near Prenzlau in Brandenburg, Germany. The Prenzlau State School was opened in 1894. There was a post office in the town from 1894 to 1968.
Lowood Airfield Circuit
The Lowood Airfield Circuit was a motor racing venue in Queensland, Australia which was used from 1946 to 1966. It was located at a former wartime airfield site at Mount Tarampa, near Lowood, 72 km west of the state capital Brisbane. The circuit utilised the airfield’s runway for its 1.9 km long 200 metre wide main straight and also used various taxiways and tarmac from the old hangar area. Lap distance was 4.54 km .
