Rockhampton
Rockhampton is a city and local government area in Queensland, Australia. The city lies on the Fitzroy River, approximately 40 kilometres from the river mouth, and some 600 kilometres north of the state capital, Brisbane. The 2011 census recorded the Rockhampton urban area with a population of 61,724 people. Rockhampton hosts a significant number of governmental, community and major business administrative offices for the central part of the state.

Rockhampton National School
The Rockhampton National School was a school in Rockhampton, Queensland. On February 15, 1859, there was a meeting of those appointed as the Rockhampton School and Church committee, over which the Sub-Collector of Customs, Henry Lumsden, presided, when it was resolved to erect a school building, 40 ft (12.3m) long and 20 ft (6.15m) wide in which Divine service could also be held on Sundays.

ABC Capricornia
4RK, better known as ABC Capricornia is one of the ABC's original regional radio stations, predating the Corporation's inception on 1 July 1932. 4RK, as it was known at the time, began broadcasting on 29 July 1931 and was owned by the Australian Broadcasting Company. The power was initially 2 kilowatts. The transmitting equipment was established by Keith Thow of STC. The station became part of the ABC, in 1932 but retained its original callsign.

Fitzroy River Barrage (Queensland)
The Barrage was finished in 1970 after four years of construction, to meet the long term water supply needs of Rockhampton. It holds around 80,000 megalitres of water. It is owned and operated by Fitzroy River Water, which is a commercial business activity of the Rockhampton Regional Council. There are 18 gates on the barrage that are computer operated to open up one by one when water gets to a certain level, although it would only be in times of flood that all 18 gates would be open.
West Rockhampton, Queensland
West Rockhampton is a suburban area of Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia situated about six kilometres north-west of the central business district. At the 2006 census, West Rockhampton had a population of 1,457. Two schools were established in the area. Crescent Lagoon, the local primary school, was established around 1896, and was moved to its current location in 1932 and the Rockhampton Grammar School, which was built in Agnes Street in 1883.
