Woodford Folk Festival
The Woodford Folk Festival is an annual music festival held near the semi-rural town of Woodford, 72 km north of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is one of the biggest annual cultural events of its type in Australia. The festival takes place over six days and nights from 27 December to 1 January each year. It features a wide range of performance styles, musical genres and nationalities, in many simultaneous venues across the site.
Mount Beerwah
Mount Beerwah is the highest of the ten volcanic plugs in the Glass House Mountains range, 22 km north of Caboolture in South East Queensland, Australia. It was formed 26 million years ago during the Oligocene Epoch of the Paleogene Period. Mount Beerwah has two peaks, the taller of which is 556 metres high. It is one of the most visually prominent mountains in south-east Queensland. The first white person to ascend the peak was Andrew Petrie with his son John Petrie.

Maleny is a small, scenic town 90 kilometres north of Brisbane on the Blackall Range overlooking the Sunshine Coast hinterland in Queensland, Australia. Nearby towns include Landsborough, Montville, Peachester, Palmwoods and Hunchy. Nearby places of geographical significance include the Glass House Mountains and Baroon Pocket Dam. Stanley River (Queensland)
The Stanley River in Queensland is the main tributary of the Brisbane River. The Stanley River valley extends roughly 35 km westwards from the area south of Maleny, through Woodford to Kilcoy before veering southwards. It is dammed by the Somerset Dam built seven km upstream from its confluence with the Brisbane River. The dam was the principal water supply for Brisbane for some fifty years until the construction of the Wivenhoe Dam was completed, forming Lake Wivenhoe.

The Mary Cairncross Reserve is a conservation park located on the Blackall Range east of Maleny, Australia. Maleny is approximately 88 kilometres north of Brisbane and 30 kilometres west of Caloundra. The reserve is positioned in the mountain rainforests of the Maleny region overlooking the Glass House Mountains.
Kilcoy, Queensland
Kilcoy is a small farming town and part of the Somerset Region local government area in South East Queensland, Australia. The township is on the D'Aguilar Highway, 94 kilometres north west of the state capital, Brisbane, and just to the north of Lake Somerset. The topography directly north of the town is dominated by the mountains of the Conondale Range and covered by forests, some of which are protected in state forests and the Conondale National Park.

The County of Canning is a county in Queensland, Australia. Like all counties in Queensland, it is a non-functional administrative unit, that is used mainly for the purpose of registering land titles. The county consists of almost all of the former Shires of Caboolture, Maroochy and Kilcoy and the former City of Caloundra. Its main urbanised areas are centred on the Sunshine Coast (excluding Noosa) and Caboolture.

Shire of Kilcoy
The Shire of Kilcoy was a local government area in South East Queensland, Australia, about 95 kilometres northwest of Brisbane along the D'Aguilar Highway, not far from the Sunshine Coast. The shire covered an area of 1,445.2 square kilometres, and existed from 1912 until its merger with the Shire of Esk to form the Somerset Region on 15 March 2008. Beef cattle is the predominant industry in the area, with other activities including dairying, small crops and aquaculture.

D'Aguilar, Queensland
D'Aguilar is a rural township in Queensland, Australia. Located northwest of the larger centre of Caboolture, it is located within the Moreton Bay Region. At the 2006 census, the locality recorded a population of 1,094 persons, living in 373 inhabited dwellings, all of which were detached houses. D'Aguilar lies on the D'Aguilar Highway between Wamuran and Woodford. It is also the northern endpoint of Mount Mee Road, which leads south through Delaneys Creek and Mount Mee to Dayboro.

Crystal Waters (also known as Crystal Waters Permaculture Village and Crystal Waters Ecovillage) is a village situated in the Sunshine Coast hinterland of Queensland, Australia. In 1995, the village of Crystal Waters received a United Nations world habitat award for its "pioneering work in demonstrating new ways of low impact, sustainable living". In 1998, the village of Crystal Waters was included in the "World's Best Practices" database of the United Nations organization.
Hubners Bridge
The Hubners Bridge (also known as Hubner Bridge) was a road bridge on the Sandy Creek Road over the Sandy Creek in Kilcoy, Queensland, Australia. The bridge was washed away on 9 January 2011 (2011-01-09) during the catastrophic 2010–2011 floods. A flying-fox was built across Sandy Creek to provide supplies to residents stranded due to bridge damage.
