Gatton, Queensland
Gatton is a town and the administrative centre of the Lockyer Valley local government area situated in the Lockyer Valley of South East Queensland, Australia. At the 2006 census, Gatton had a population of 5,295. The Gatton area was explored by Major Edmund Lockyer in 1825. A settlement known as Gatton was gazetted in 1855. The post office opened 1 January 1866, with Frederick Lloyd, a dairyman, as the first postmaster.
Lockyer Valley
The Lockyer Valley is an area of rich farmlands that lies to the west of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and east of Toowoomba. The Lockyer Valley is rated among the top ten most fertile farming areas in the world as mentioned in page 13 of the Lockyer Valley Community Recovery Plan 2011. The intensively cultivated area grows the most diverse range of commercial fruit and vegetables of any area in Australia and is often referred to as "South East Queensland's Salad Bowl".
Prenzlau, Queensland
Prenzlau is a town situated in the Lockyer Valley at the southern end of the Somerset Region LGA in southeastern Queensland, Australia. At the 2006 census, Prenzlau had a population of 1,120. The area was settled by German immigrants from the Uckermark near Prenzlau in Brandenburg, Germany. The Prenzlau State School was opened in 1894. There was a post office in the town from 1894 to 1968.
Shire of Gatton
The Shire of Gatton was a local government area located in the Lockyer Valley region between the cities of Toowoomba and Ipswich, and about 90 kilometres west of Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, Australia. The shire covered an area of 1,571.8 square kilometres, and existed from 1880 until its merger with the Shire of Laidley to form the Lockyer Valley Region on 15 March 2008.

Coominya is a town in South East Queensland, Australia. The town is located in the Somerset Region LGA, 83 kilometres west of the state capital, Brisbane and approximately 2 km from Wivenhoe Dam. At the 2006 census, Coominya had a population of 467. Coominya is known for its fresh produce, scenery and wildlife including lorikeet parrots, koalas, kangaroos . The major employer is an abattoir. Facilities in Coominya include a post office, a general store, a cafe and a pub.
