Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre
Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre is an Australian prison located on the Ipswich Motorway at Wacol in the western suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. It is a high security prison (with a maximum security unit) that is used for remand prisoners, and also for the temporary detention of prisoners while their 'security level' is ascertained. The prison is a relatively modern facility with TVs, showers and toilets in all rooms and shared dining facilities.
Brisbane Correctional Centre
Brisbane Correctional Centre, formerly the Sir David Longland Correctional Centre, is a prison facility located at Wacol, Queensland, Australia. The prison is expected to receive its first inmates, after refurbishment and expansion, in January 2008. The newly-renovated prison houses a water conservation system, a unit specifically designed for 17-year-old prisoners, and an ultra-modern maximum security wing for dangerous offenders.

Wacol Station is a railway station on the Ipswich Line of Brisbane, Australia. It is part of the Queensland Rail City network. It is in a transition precinct between Zone 4 and Zone 5 of the TransLink integrated public transport system. Bright murals depicting domestic wildlife, forests and farmlands have been painted on the walls of platforms buildings. The animal theme was chosen because the RSPCA Animal Care Campus moved to Wacol in December 2011.

Division of Oxley
The Division of Oxley is an Australian Electoral Division in Queensland. The current division is the second to bear the name, and was created in 1949. The division is named after the Australian explorer, John Oxley. Oxley is located in south east Queensland, and covers the south western suburbs of Brisbane, as well as part of the city of Ipswich. The original Division of Oxley was established in 1901, and was abolished and replaced by the Division of Griffith in 1934.

Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre
Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre is an Australian prison, located at Wacol, Brisbane. It was commissioned on 28 May 1999. Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre replaced the old Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre, located at Woolloongabba. The centre has a capacity of 264 cells and is divided into two accommodation areas of 122 secure cells and 142 residential cells. The centre is the only reception, assessment and placement centre for female offenders in southern Queensland.
Forest Lake, Queensland
Forest Lake was the first Master Planned Community within the municipality of Brisbane, Queensland. It has won numerous awards for its design and had a population of 20,900 residents, as of February 2006. Delfin, the developer of Forest Lake, was absorbed into Lend Lease in 2001. Now operating as Delfin Lend Lease, they are developing the adjacent Springfield Lakes Master Planned Community. Forest Lake was considered instrumental in the creation of affordable housing within Australia.
Goodna, Queensland
Goodna is a suburb on the eastern edge of the City of Ipswich in Queensland, Australia. It is bounded to the north by the Brisbane River. Founded in 1856 when the area was still part of New South Wales, it celebrated its 150-year anniversary in 2006. Its beginnings can be traced back further to 1823 when it was originally visited by an exploration party led by John Oxley.

Wacol is a suburb of Brisbane, Australia. According to the 2011 census, a total of 2,957 people lived within the boundaries of Wacol. The suburb is located on the east bank of the Brisbane River, 18 km south-west of the Brisbane central business district, on the Brisbane-Ipswich railway line.

The M5 (Centenary Motorway) is a 43-kilometre motorway in the western suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. It starts as a two-lane arterial road at Yamanto, travelling to Springfield, where it becomes a two-lane highway and travels across the M2 Logan Motorway at Ellen Grove (formerly Metroad 4 / M4) and ends at Kenmore where it changes its name to the M5 Western Freeway.

EDUCANG Limited was originally an initiative of the Anglican Church of Australia and the Uniting Church in Australia. The name of the company reflected a partnership in independent schooling. The word EDUCANG is composed of:- ED from education, UC from the Uniting Church in Australia, and ANG from the Anglican Church of Australia. Directors of the Board were volunteers who were drawn exclusively from the two auspicing churches.
Ellen Grove, Queensland
Ellen Grove is an outer suburb of Brisbane, Australia and is located 20 kilometres south-west of the Brisbane CBD. Ellen Grove was subdivided for housing around 1959, with the name of the suburb gazetted in 1962 due to lobbying from the Ellen Grove Progress Association. The subdivision were between two and four acres in area with no services provided. In 2009, the suburb was extended both to the north and south, increasing the population significantly from 351 to 5,209 people.
Carole Park, Queensland
Carole Park is a suburb of Brisbane, Australia. It is 19 kilometres south west of the Brisbane central business district. The Place Names Board designated the suburb and its name in 1972. Carole Park is half residential, half industrial, with the Logan Motorway separating the two areas. The industrial side is part of the City of Ipswich, while the residential side comes under City of Brisbane.

Ipswich Road, Brisbane
Ipswich Road is one Brisbane's main roads connecting Brisbane to the nearby city of Ipswich, via the Ipswich Motorway. Logan Road, Pacific Motorway, and Beaudesert Road are the other major roads in the south of Brisbane. The road was an important transport route in 19th century Brisbane. Travelling south the road begins at the Woolloongabba Five Ways intersection with Stanley Street and Logan Road, connecting the inner southern suburbs with southwest Brisbane.

Camp Columbia
Camp Columbia was a United States Army military camp located in Wacol, near Brisbane, built during World War II to accommodate American troops. The Sixth US Army Headquarters was stationed there and it was an Officer Candidate School from 1942 to 1945. After World War II it was used by the Australian military and then served as a migrant reception and training centre. The camp was then known as the "Wacol East Dependants Holding Camp for Displaced Persons".
Richlands railway station
Richlands is a railway station in the suburb of Richlands on the Springfield line of the Queensland Rail Citytrain network. The rail extension to Richlands is the first step in the progressive construction of the Springfield line to Springfield. The station has car parking spaces available for 650 vehicles. According to local councillor David Morrison, these are filled as early as 8:30 AM.
