Hughenden is a town in Queensland, Australia situated on the banks of the Flinders River. It was named after Hughenden Manor, the home of former British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. At the 2006 census, Hughenden had a population of 1,154.

The Shire of Flinders is a local government area in north-western Queensland, Australia. It covers an area of 41,538.5 square kilometres, and has existed as a local government entity since 1882. The Shire, named for the Flinders River, is predominantly a grazing area with cattle in the north of the shire and mixed grazing to the south in the black soil area.
Electoral district of Flinders (Queensland)
The electoral district of Flinders was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland. It was first created in 1888, covering the area centered around the central Queensland towns of Cloncurry, Richmond and Hughenden. It was renamed Carpentaria in the 1931 redistribution, but was changed back to Flinders in 1949, effective at the 1950 election. It was abolished in a redistribution in 1991, effective 1992.
