Moorooka is a railway station on the Beenleigh Line of Brisbane, Australia. It is part of the Queensland Rail City network. It is in Zone 3 of the TransLink integrated public transport system. It was the first Queensland station to experience an act of civil disobedience, when in 1976, young people took to protesting social ills on its platforms.

Salisbury is a railway station on the Beenleigh Line of Brisbane, Australia. It is part of the QR Citytrain network. It is in Zone 3 of the TransLink integrated public transport system. There are two entrances via sets of stairs coming from Lillian Avenue and Dollis Street, unfortunately meaning there is no easy wheelchair/disabled access to this station. The station has an intensive surveillance system with cameras surrounding the station and the nearby carpark (off Lillian Avenue).

Acacia Ridge, Queensland
Acacia Ridge is a suburb of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Acacia Ridge is 15 kilometres south of the central business district. The population in the 2001 census was 6648. Primarily residential, Acacia Ridge is also known for its heavy industrial area in the suburb's east, occupying much of the suburb's area east of Beaudesert Road. Acacia Ridge is home to one of Brisbane's few ice skating rinks.
Division of Moreton
The Division of Moreton is an Australian Electoral Division in Queensland. The division was one of the original 75 divisions contested at the first federal election. It is named after Moreton Bay. The seat is very multicultural, with a significant Asian, South Eastern European and African population living in the electorate. The seat was in the hands of the Liberal Party and its predecessors for 86 years before Labor regained it in 1990.
Moorooka, Queensland
Moorooka is a suburb of Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, Australia. It is seven kilometres south of Brisbane's central business district. At the 2011 Australian census the suburb had a population of 9,984. The suburb was originally founded as a stop-over for journeys from Brisbane south (Logan and Albert river valleys) and south-west. A section of the suburb's eastern boundary lies adjacent to Toohey Forest Park.
Oxley, Queensland
Oxley is a south-western suburb of Brisbane located approximately 11 km from the Brisbane CBD. It was named after the early Australian explorer John Oxley. The suburb supports a mix of residential, retail and industrial land use. Oxley is bounded to the north by the Brisbane River and Oxley Creek flows along the eastern edge. In the east the environment is shaped by flood plains, which experience major flooding and flash-flooding.
Toohey Mountain
Toohey Mountain is a medium sized mountain at the eastern side of the City of Brisbane's suburb of Moorooka. The rise was named after James Toohey, an Irish born Sydneysider who made his wealth in the California gold rush, before settling in the newly formed state of Queensland. To the north of the mountain is Tarragindi Hill and Wellers Hill. Grass Tree Ridge was the name given to the tall and long ridge that extends through parts of Tarragindi, Salisbury and Nathan, towards Sunnybank.
John Tonge Centre
The John Tonge Centre is the mortuary for Queensland Health Forensic and Scientific Services (FSS - formerly Queensland Health Scientific Services) and responsible for conducting autopsies in Brisbane on people whose deaths make them subject to the Coroner's Act. Such deaths include accidents, suicides, homicides, deaths during surgery and anything for which a doctor is unwilling to issue a medical cause of death certificate for.
Rocklea, Queensland
The large Brisbane suburb of Rocklea is located 12 kilometres south of the city. At times the suburb has experienced significant flooding from the nearby Brisbane River. The west of the suburb is bordered by the Oxley Creek. Its tributaries, Stable Swamp Creek and Rocky Waterholes Creek, are the cause of local flooding. The suburb's name is derived from the Rocky Waterholes in the area. It is also at one end of the Ipswich Motorway and has a train station on the Beenleigh line.
Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital
The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QE II) is a public hospital located in Coopers Plains, Brisbane, Australia. The hospital was officially opened on 26 September 1980. The hospital originally was developed to be a site for future expansion of the Mater Children's Hospital, a center for servicing the needs of the Commonwealth Games held nearby and a range of other initiatives that never eventuated.
Yeerongpilly, Queensland
Yeerongpilly is a suburb of in Brisbane, Australia. It is eight km south of the Brisbane central business district. The suburb had a population of 1,984 at the 2011 Australian census. Has a large Asian population and a growing Sub-Saharan African population. Yeerongpilly is derived from the Aboriginal words "yarung" meaning sandy or gravelly or "yurong" meaning rain and "pilly" meaning gully or watercourse. Yeerongpilly grew from an area named Boggo, which was logged for timber for Brisbane.
Tennyson, Queensland
Tennyson is a suburb of Brisbane, Australia. It is 7 km south of the CBD on the Brisbane River. At the 2011 Australian census the suburb had a population of 859. The area was originally named Softstone by James Strong, one of the original settlers, but by 1897 the name was changed to Tennyson. Tennyson is named after the British poet Alfred Tennyson. The Queensland Tennis Centre is located in Tennyson. It is built on the site of the demolished Tennyson Power Station.

Willawong, Queensland
Willawong is an outer suburb of Brisbane, Australia. It is 16 km south of the CBD. The Places Name Board gave the official name to the suburb in 1970. This suburb has one of the Brisbane Transport bus depots located within the suburb. Willawong is an Aboriginal word meaning ‘the junction of two creeks’. The suburb's boundary is mostly defined by the course of the two creeks, Oxley Creek and Blunder Creek. The Sydney–Brisbane rail corridor is aligned along the eastern edge of the suburb.
Durack, Queensland
Durack is an outer suburb of Brisbane, Australia. It is 15 kilometres south-west of the CBD. The suburb had a population of 6,177 at the 2011 Census. Durack is named after Michael Durack, one of the original landholders of the area. It was given this name in 1976 from a naming competition in a local newspaper.

The name was selected by the railway department when the Sunnybank/South Coast Railway Line opened in 1885. The book publishing company Boolarong Press has its headquarters in the suburb.

Shire of Yeerongpilly
The Shire of Yeerongpilly was a local government area in the southern suburbs of Brisbane, Queensland. The shire, administered from Rocklea, covered an area of 175 square miles, and existed as a local government entity from 1879 until 1925, when it was split up following the creation of the City of Brisbane under the City of Brisbane Act 1924.

Nyanda railway station
Nyanda is a disused railway station on QR Citytrain suburban network in Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, Australia. It is located between Rocklea and Salisbury stations on the Beenleigh line. It opened in 1885 as Nyanda Crossing and was positioned so one person could manage the station and attend to the Beaudesert Road level crossing.
