Penrose, New South Wales (Wingecarribee)
Penrose is a small town in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, in Wingecarribee Shire. It has a station on the Main Southern railway line served by CityRail's Southern Highlands services. At the 2006 census, Penrose had a population of 225 people. Penrose also has a small general store, a cafe, Rural Fire Brigade and a Timber Mill as well as a hardware store.

Kareela was a short-lived railway station on the Main South railway line in New South Wales, Australia. It opened in 1889 169km south of Sydney originally as Wollondilly, and closed in 1915.
Sunnataram Forest Monastery
Sunnataram Forest Monastery is a Theravada Buddhist monastery in the Thai Forest Tradition. The establishment of the monastery was in July 1990. It is situated on the outer lying area of the town Bundanoon in the Southern Highlands. The elevation of the area is 2,205 feet above sea level. An area of 99.7 acres of bush land is covered by the monastery.
