Carinda, New South Wales
Carinda is a small town in the far north of New South Wales, Australia, and lies in the Walgett Shire. In 2006, the town had a population of 194 people. The name of the town is derived from an Aboriginal word meaning 'you carry'. In the early 1980s, singer David Bowie came to the town, at the local hotel, where his single, Let's Dance was featured in the video clip.
