Penrith is a suburb in Greater Western Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Penrith is located 50 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district and is the administrative centre for the local government area of the City of Penrith. It lies east of the Nepean River. Penrith is a commercial centre, designated a regional city under the NSW Metropolitan Strategy.
