Waverton Railway Station is a railway station on the North Shore railway line and the Northern railway line of Sydney's CityRail network. It services the suburb of Waverton, a largely residential area. The station was originally known Bay Road station as the station is crossed by Bay Road. The name was changed to Waverton Station 20 May 1929. The single track line to Lavender Bay joins the main North Shore railway line at Waverton.

It is located in the Forum complex on the Pacific Highway in the Sydney suburb of St Leonards. The station has been through several incarnations. The original station opened in 1890 with the opening of the North Shore Line. In August 1989 the station was relocated to a temporary station south of the Pacific Highway to allow the site to be redeveloped.

Gore Hill, New South Wales

It takes its name from William Gore, the provost marshal in colonial Sydney, who had a property of 150 acres in the area. It is best known for being where the Gore Hill Freeway from Lane Cove to the Sydney Harbour Bridge starts and ends and as the location of the ABC's Sydney television transmission tower, which is about 170 metres high.
HMAS Waterhen (naval base)
HMAS Waterhen is a shore establishment of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), located in Waverton, Sydney. Constructed on the site of a quarry used to expand Garden Island in the 1930s, the location was used during World War II as a boom net maintenance and storage area. In 1962, the area was commissioned as a base of the RAN, and became home to the RAN's mine warfare forces.

Gore Hill cemetery
Gore Hill Cemetery is located in the northern Sydney suburb of St Leonards in New South Wales, Australia, and is one of the oldest and largest remaining cemeteries in metropolitan Sydney. It was established on 19 May 1868 by the New South Wales politician William Tunks. The first body was interred in 1877, and until its closure in 1974, 14,456 burials took place. Most burials took place between 1900 and 1930.

Lane Cove Bushland Park is located in suburban Lane Cove, 5 kilometres from the centre of Sydney, Australia. It is regarded as one of the more interesting areas of fungi in the country. In the year 2000, Bushland Park was placed on the Register of the National Estate, under the Australian Heritage Commission Act, 1975. Average annual rainfall is 1220 mm. Soils are moderately fertile, based on Hawkesbury sandstone and Ashfield Shale. The climate is warm and humid.
Balls Head Reserve
Balls Head Reserve is situated on Port Jackson, 1.5 kilometres (one mile) west of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is named after Lieutenant Henry Lidgbird Ball, a Royal Naval officer who commanded the Supply on the First Fleet. The original Indigenous Australians called the area Yerroulbine. Evidence of their occupation includes art sites, middens and a spectacular petroglyph. They left the area in 1916. A human skull was discovered at Balls Head in 1964.
