Attack on Sydney Harbour
In late May and early June 1942, during World War II, submarines belonging to the Imperial Japanese Navy made a series of attacks on the cities of Sydney and Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia. On the night of 31 May – 1 June, three Ko-hyoteki-class midget submarines, each with a two-member crew, entered Sydney Harbour, avoided the partially constructed Sydney Harbour anti-submarine boom net, and attempted to sink Allied warships.

Bradleys Head

Rotunda at Balmoral Beach, Sydney
The Rotunda is located in Hunter Park at Balmoral Beach, Sydney. It was built in 1930 as part of the beach improvement program undertaken by Mosman Council. Overlooking the bay and close to Rocky Point Island, it is set in a very picturesque area. After its completion it was a very popular venue for brass band concerts for many years throughout the 1930s and 1940s. Today it is used for festivals, events and weddings and is an important historical landmark in Balmoral.
Mosman bomb hoax
The Mosman bomb hoax took place in the Lower North Shore Sydney suburb of Mosman, New South Wales, Australia on 3 August 2011. An apparent collar bomb was placed around the neck of 18-year-old student Madeleine Pulver, by a balaclava-clad home intruder.
Boronia House, Mosman, Sydney
Boronia House (now Boronia Tea Room) is an historic house in Mosman, Sydney. It was built in 1885 and is an excellent example of a Victorian Filigree building. It was a domestic residence between 1885 and 1951. In 1952 it was acquired by the Mosman Council and was used as the Council Library. It has been fully restored and adapted for commercial use and is heritage-listed.

Colonist (1861) The Colonist was a general cargo and passenger schooner built in 1861 at Dumbarton Scotland by Denny & Rankine, which spent the nearly 30 years plying the Western Pacific based out of Sydney. It wrecked and later re floated on the remote Elizabeth Reef 550 km from New South Wales, as well as being involved in the Gold rushes as well as having it Master murdered before it was finally involved in a collision in Sydney Harbour in which it was sunk
