Seal Rocks, New South Wales
Seal Rocks is a small coastal settlement in the Great Lakes Council local government area, in the Mid North Coast/Hunter regions of New South Wales, Australia, 275 kilometres north-north-east of Sydney. It is famous for its many premier surfing beaches (including Lighthouse Beach, Treachery and Yagon), and also for being the home of Seal Rocks lighthouse, officially known as Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse. At the 2006 census, the area had a population of 131 persons.
Acme (1876)
The Acme was a wooden Top sail schooner that was driven ashore at Seal Rocks, New South Wales while carrying timber from Camden Haven to Sydney under the command of Captain James Henry Jackson on the 15 July 1876. There were no casualties. The wreck has not been located, but the approximate coordinates of the wreck site are {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:32.45|S|152.54|E|type:landmark_region:AU|||| |primary |name= }}.
SS Catterthun
SS Catterthun was a nineteenth century cargo and passenger ship. It sank with considerable loss of life on the east coast of Australia in 1895.
