The area is mostly farmland and location of an agricultural branch of Sydney University. At the southern end of the suburb, bordering the Nepean River is Camden Airport, a site for gliding and skydiving. The main road, Cobbitty Road, is home to "Cobbitty Primary School", a general store, a small cafe, and "Teen Ranch".

Wivenhoe, Narellan

The house has had some very notable residents and is now owned by Mater Dei, a Catholic Church organisation. It is open for inspection by the public.
