Australian National University
The Australian National University (ANU) is a university in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. Established by an Act of the Parliament of Australia in 1946, it is the only Australian university to be established by Federal, rather than State or Territory, legislation. Centered at the Acton campus, the university comprises seven teaching and research colleges, several focused postgraduate research centres and three non-tertiary educational entities.
Australian Institute of Sport
The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) is a sports training institution in Australia. The Institute's headquarters were opened in 1981 and are situated in Canberra (the capital city of Australia). The 66-hectare site campus is in the northern suburb of Bruce, but some of the institute's programs are located in other Australian cities. The AIS is a division of the Australian Sports Commission.
Canberra Stadium
Canberra Stadium (originally known as Bruce Stadium) is a facility primarily used for rugby league and rugby union games, located adjacent to the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, the capital of Australia. Bruce is the Canberra suburb where the stadium is located, and in turn Bruce was named after Stanley Bruce, Australian Prime Minister 1923–1929.
Black Mountain Tower
Black Mountain Tower (previously known as Telstra Tower and Telecom Tower) is a telecommunication tower that is situated above the summit of Black Mountain in Australia's capital city of Canberra. Rising 195.2 metres above the mountain summit, it is not only a landmark in Canberra but also offers panoramic views of the city and its surrounding countryside from an indoor observation deck, two outdoor viewing platforms and the tower's revolving restaurant.
Division of Fraser
The Division of Fraser is an Australian Electoral Division in the Australian Capital Territory and the Jervis Bay Territory. The division was created in 1974 and is named for James Fraser, who was member for Australian Capital Territory 1951-70. It encompasses the northern suburbs of Canberra, including the districts of Belconnen, Gungahlin, North Canberra and also Jervis Bay Territory. It also includes the land in the ACT north of the Molonglo River and Lake Burley Griffin.
Australian National Botanic Gardens
The Australian National Botanic Gardens (ANBG) are located in Canberra and are administered by the Australian Government's Department of the Environment and Heritage. The botanic gardens are the largest living collection of native Australian flora, the mission of the ANBG is to study and promote Australia's flora. The gardens maintains a wide variety of botanical resources for researchers and cultivates native plants threatened in the wild.
Turner, Australian Capital Territory
Turner is a leafy early Canberra suburb, close to Canberra City and the Australian National University (located in the suburb of Acton). Turner is named after Sir George Turner, a Federalist, legislator and one of the founders of the Australian Constitution. He was a Premier of Victoria, and later Federal Treasurer under prime ministers Barton, Deakin and Reid. Streets in Turner are mostly named after writers, legislators and pioneers.
Lyneham, Australian Capital Territory
Lyneham is a suburb of Canberra, Australia in the North Canberra district. It is named after Sir William Lyne, premier of the Australian state of New South Wales from 1899 to 1901. The suburb name was gazetted in 1928, but development did not commence until 1958. The streets of Lyneham are named after artists and people associated with the development of early Canberra.

Tilley's
Tilley's Devine café Gallery is a well-known café in the suburb of Lyneham in Canberra, Australia. It was named after Matilda 'Tilly' Devine, a gangster and madame from Sydney who lived in the mid-twentieth century. When the café first opened in 1984, it was intended as a women's space, with men allowed entry only when accompanied by women. Popular with lesbian women, it quickly became an icon of Canberra's LGBT scene.
Northbourne Avenue
Northbourne Avenue is a major road in Canberra, Australia. It extends from City Hill in the south to the Federal Highway in the north. It is a north-south running road which has three lanes for motorised traffic, and one lane for bicycles running in each direction, with a large median strip with rows of trees. The speed limit is 60 km/h, with an 80 km/h speed limit north of the intersection with Mouat Street and Antill Street.
Burgmann College
Burgmann College is a residential college affiliated with the Australian National University in Canberra. Established in 1971, it is the only Australian college to combine undergraduate accommodation with a substantial postgraduate student body. It houses 351 students, roughly one-third of whom are postgraduates. Burgmann College is located inside the western corner of the campus, close to the waters of Lake Burley Griffin. The college is named after Ernest H.
Toad Hall (ANU)
Toad Hall is a residential hall in Australian National University, it was established in 1973. While primarily a Hall for post-graduate students, in 2010 Toad Hall has 24 under-graduate students of a total of 230 residents. It is located at the corner of Barry Drive and Kingsley Street, Acton. Sullivans Creek and the Drill Hall Gallery are nearby.
O'Connor, Australian Capital Territory
O'Connor is a suburb of Canberra, Australia in the North Canberra district. It was named after Richard Edward O'Connor (1851–1912), who was a judge in the High Court and a founder of the Australian constitution. Street names in O'Connor are named after explorers, Australian flora, legislators and pioneers. The suburb name was gazetted on 20 September 1928.

AIS Arena
AIS Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Canberra, Australia. Its capacity is 5,200 and it was built in 1980. The arena was opened by the Prime Minister of Australia, Malcolm Fraser, on 26 January 1981 and was originally named the National Indoor Sports Centre and was the inaugural home of the Australian Institute of Sport. The AIS Arena is home to the Canberra Capitals and Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) who play in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL).

Old Canberra Inn
The Old Canberra Inn is one of the earliest licensed pubs in the Canberra region, Australia. The original slab hut was built in 1860 by Joseph Schumack and in 1876 it was licenced as an inn. It was a coach stop on the Yass to Queanbeyan run until 1887 when it was sold to John Read. It became the Read family home until 1974, called The Pines until it was renovated and relicensed as the Old Canberra Inn.

The Australian National University Medical School (ANUMS) is a graduate medical school that received the Australian Medical Council (AMC) accreditation for the M.B. , B.S. program in November 2003. Under the leadership of the Foundation Dean, Professor Paul Gatenby, the first cohort of students commenced in February 2004. The current Dean of Medicine is Professor Nicholas Glasgow and Deputy Dean of Medicine Professor David Ellwood.
Lyneham High School
Lyneham High School is a secondary school in Canberra founded in 1959. Located in the suburb of Lyneham, It has over one thousand students and is at full capacity. It has two enrichment programs running: a selective gifted and talented academic program called LEAP (Lyneham Enriched Academic Program), and a similar program aimed at elite athletic students called SEAL (Sporting Excellence At Lyneham).
